The GP Series is the world’s first large format printer with aqueous pigment Fluorescent Pink Ink*. The 44″ GP-4000 is a 10-color (MBK, BK, GY, C, M, Y, R, O, G, V) plus Fluorescent Pink Ink large format printer. They are equipped with Canon’s unique Radiant Infusion, which layers the newly developed Fluorescent Pink Ink with other inks on the paper surface during printing creating bright and soft color reproduction.

With the new Red, Orange, Green, Violet, and Fluorescent Pink ink, the imagePROGRAF GP-4000 printer has the most extensive color gamut of any imagePROGRAF printer. Other features include built-in color calibration, Intelligent Media Handling, and USB Thumb Drive printing.

These imagePROGRAF GP Series printers are the world’s first “PANTONE Calibrated” Pantone licensed¹ for “PANTONE PASTELS & NEONS GUIDE Coated”², including fluorescent and pastel colors. Can hit 99% of the colors in the PANTONE^TM FORMULA GUIDE solid coated. Bundled with Canon’s poster creation software PosterArtist Lite, users can create posters in four easy steps with license-free images and templates.

The Radiant Infusion technology is integrated into PosterArtist Lite software to allow users to create high-impact posters easily. Additional software features include Professional Print & Layout, Accounting Manager, and Device Management Console.

The imagePROGRAF GP-4000 printer can load and recognize paper without human intervention. Set the roll holder in the printer and let the media automatically feed into the printer. The built-in multi-sensor automatically detects the media’s width, length, and type.

The optional Multifunction Roll System, which also utilizes Canon’s new intelligent media handling, is a versatile media handling system that enables a second roll of media to be loaded on the printer, or the unit can be configured as a bi-directional media Take-up unit.

Dual–Roll Feeding: The dual-roll feeding mechanism enables users to load a second roll of a different media type and size to simultaneously switch from printing on matte to gloss paper without pausing their work to reload.

Additionally, the second roll can support high-volume printing by enabling two rolls of the same media to be fed to the printer. Bi-Directional Rewinding: The Multifunction Roll System may also be configured by the operator as a take-up unit to rewind longer printouts.

The user can choose to rewind media with the printed surface on the outside or inside the roll, thereby supporting “bi-directional rewinding.
